OFFICIAL TFL - Titan Fishing League Rules

Division: Boat Division

General Rules: 

Public Water Only

Artificial Bait Only

Best Five (5) Bass with Auto-Culling Enabled.

Competitors must stay inside the boat at all times while fishing.

Fish must be instantly released (Catch, Picture, Release).**Unless dual entered into a traditional tournament.

No stringer, fish baskets, etc.

Fish should be released after catching UNLESS you are in a traditional bass tournament that requires a traditional weight in. In that case, the fish may be measured then placed in the livewell.

Competitors may not be under the influence of Drugs or Alcohol while competing.  

Competitors under 18 must be supervised by an adult.Use your own judgement and pay attention to weather conditions.

All Competitors must have a valid fishing license and adhere to all local/state fishing regulations

Boating Safety Rules: All boaters must wear a US Coast Guard Approved PFD while the combustion engine is on. All boats must be equipped with a OEM installed ignition cutoff device that must attach to the boater with a standard length tether while the combustion engine is running.Boat & Horsepower Regulations: All Boats must be propeller driven by a combustion engine.No minimum length on boats.No min or max HP requirements, however vessel must be approved for Engine HP rating.Boat must have all safety items as required by local and state law.

Allowed Measuring Devices: Hawg Trough, TFL Hawg Trough,  Ketch Boards Payouts: 

Top 10% Payout Structure:

1-19 Anglers (Pays 1st Place) 

21-29 Anglers(Pays 1st and 2nd Place)

30-39 Anglers (Pays 1st, 2nd, and 3rd Place)

Allowed Fishing Areas:  Fishing waters must be available and accessible to the public. Fishing area must not be posted "Keep Out", "No Trespassing", "No Fishing", "Restricted", or marked otherwise in a way to restrict public access. No private ponds

Min Fish Length: 12" 

Allowed Species: Largemouth Bass, Spotted Bass, Smallmouth Bass.  

Submission Requirements:  Mouth Closed,Fish Facing left, mouth always toward fence. Dorsal Fin must be pointed up. Eye MUST be visible.All fish will be scored in .25" inch increments. All measurements will be rounded down to the nearest 1/4".Lines should be clearly visible on the measuring board (Hawg Trough or Ketch Boards)

.50" Deduction if the fish's mouth is open.

Identifier Card or Identifier Code MUST be in the picture.

Judging of Catch Photos/Submissions: The Tournament Director and staff has all rights to declare a catch ineligible or eligible.Photos that do not meet TFL requirements will be disqualified.Protests: Competitors will have 48-hours to protest after the completion of the event. 

Captains Meeting: This meeting will be LIVE on FaceBook (TFL) page, and will be recorded to make sure all captains/anglers can attend or watch the video. This is a requirement of our series to ensure safety and understanding of rules.

 Allowed Fishing Methods:  All Bass must be caught alive and in a sporting manner. All lures must adhere to state regulations, and that is the responsibility of the angler. Only Artificial lures may be used, with the exception of pork trailers.Only one(1) fishing rod may be used at a time.Trolling is NOT allowed at any time.Bass Caught sight fishing must be hooked inside the mouth.Membership and Points: This is an open tournament, so a membership is not required to participate. Only required if you want to receive points and be eligible for AOY Cash Bonus up to $5000.

Truth Verification Test: Each angler agrees to submit to a voice stress test or polygraph if deemed necessary by TFL Tournament Directors. Failure to pass either examination will result in disqualification from the tournament and ineligibility for AOY Bonus or Rewards. If anyone is caught cheating, it will result in an instant and lifetime ban from the TFL. Additionally, the TFL will pursue all legal options to prosecute tournament cheaters.

Photo Submissions: The TFL uses the (Catch, Photo, Release) method.Anglers are responsible for uploading their own photos to the tournament website (TourneyX.com)All identifiers must be clearly visible in all submission photos.Photos Must Include the entire fish without obstructions.Photos must be clear and not blurry.Tail must be resting flat on the measuring board.Lines must be clearly visible on the measuring board. Its suggested to paint the lines black.Tie-Breakers: In the event of an exact tie, the angler with the biggest bass will be declared the winner.

TFL Bank Division Official Rules

Specific Bank Fishing Methods Allowed:

 Wading is allowed If wading, angler must walk and may not be assisted with a tube or other apparatus that holds air and assist in flotation. If wading, the angler should have a PFD and use judgment and caution. Especially in cold weather.

Membership and Points:

This is an open tournament, so a membership is not required to participate. Only required if you want to receive points and be eligible for AOY Cash Bonus up to $5000.

TITAN FISHING LEAGUE WAIVER AND RELEASE OF LIABILITY AGREEMENT

READ BEFORE REGISTERING FOR ANY TFL COMPETITIVE EVENT

In consideration of being allowed to participate in any way in the Titan Tungsten, LLC’s Event and its related competition and activities, I, the undersigned (or registrant), being at least 18 years of age, acknowledge, appreciate, and agree that:

1.      I affirm that my participation in any TFL Event is voluntary and declare that I am physically fit and capable to participate in such; and

2.      I acknowledge that kayak fishing participation and competition involves certain inherent dangers, and hazards; that the risk of injury from the activities involved in this event is significant, including the potential for permanent paralysis and death, and while particular skills, physical fitness, equipment, and personal discipline may reduce this risk, the risk of serious injury does exist; and,

3.      I KNOWINGLY AND FREELY ASSUME ALL SUCH RISKS, both known and unknown, EVEN IF ARISING FROM THE NEGLIGENCE OF THE RELEASEES or others, and assume full responsibility for my participation; and,

4.      I willingly agree to comply with the stated and customary Terms and Conditions for Participation. If, however, I observe any unusual significant hazard during my presence or participation, I will remove myself from participation and immediately bring such to the attention of TFL Officers or Tournament Directors; and,

5.      in full recognition and appreciation of the dangers and risks inherent in such activities, I, for myself and on behalf of my heirs, executors, administrators and assigns, personal representatives and next of kin, HEREBY RELEASE, INDEMNIFY, AND HOLD HARMLESS TITAN TUNGSTEN, LLC and its owners, officers, managers, officials, volunteer event staff, agents and/or employees, other participants, sponsoring agencies, sponsors, advertisers, event service and technology providers, and, if applicable, owners and lessors of premises used for the activity (“Releasees”), with respect to any and all injury, disability, death, or loss or damage to person or property, whether arising from the negligence of the releasees or otherwise, to the fullest extent permitted by law, and I hereby waive, release, and forever discharge Releasees from and against any and all claims, demands, actions, or causes of action, for costs, loss, expenses, or damages to personal property, or personal injury, or death, which may result from my participation in the TFL Event.

I HAVE READ THIS RELEASE OF LIABILITY AND ASSUMPTION OF RISK AGREEMENT, FULLY UNDERSTAND ITS TERMS, UNDERSTAND THAT I HAVE GIVEN UP SUBSTANTIAL RIGHTS BY SIGNING IT, AND SIGN IT FREELY AND VOLUNTARILY WITHOUT ANY INDUCEMENT.

TITAN FISHING LEAGUE WAIVER AND RELEASE OF LIABILITY AGREEMENT

READ BEFORE REGISTERING FOR ANY TFL COMPETITIVE EVENT AND/OR SIGNING THIS AGREEMENT

In consideration of being allowed to participate in any way in the TItan Fishing League, LLC’s Event and its related competition and activities, I, the undersigned (or Registrant), being under the age of 18, acknowledge, appreciate, and agree that:

1.      I affirm that Registrant’s participation in any TFL Event is voluntary and declare that Registrant is physically fit and capable to participate in such; and

4.      Registrant willingly agrees to comply with the stated and customary Terms and Conditions for Participation. If, however, Registrant or Adult Supervisor observes any unusual significant hazard during my presence or participation, I will remove myself from participation and immediately bring such to the attention of TFL Officers or Tournament Directors; and,
